Alamo Whiskey ($40)
A grain forward whiskey distilled from the Maverick family mashbill, aged in new oak for 1 day with a nose of light brown sugar, candied cinnamon, creamed corn, and black pepper. The palate is delightfully smooth with notes of crème brulee, corn pudding, vanilla, and spice. The finish is mellow with lingering notes of spearmint, cardamom, and allspice.
Light Whiskey ($40)
The vodka drinker’s whiskey. Distilled from Texas grown hard red winter wheat and aged 1 day in used oak, the nose is nice and clean with notes of citrus, maple syrup, and semisweet chocolate. The palate is fairly neutral with faint notes of fresh wheat bread, stone fruit, and light caramel just peeking through. The finish is perfectly smooth with notes of fresh mint and honey that linger long after the dram is done.
Texas Dry Gin ($45)
A traditional dry gin with a Texas twist, made using locally grown rosemary, pecans, bay laurel, Mexican mint marigold, and fresh Valley grapefruit zest, along with traditional gin botanicals like common juniper berries and coriander. The nose is deep and complex with notes of resinous juniper, honeysuckle, lavender, lemongrass, and baking spice. The palate is silky smooth with rosemary and juniper up front followed by citrus rind and a pleasant piquancy. The finish is long with notes of menthol and peppercorn. A perfect martini gin.
White Rum ($40)
Samuel Maverick White Rum is made from imported Columbian Panela, a raw sugar created from boiling down and evaporating cane juice. We column distill our rum and charcoal filter for a smooth and round mouthfeel while retaining the original character of the Panela sugar. Perfect in a Daquiri or Mojito.
The nose is bright and sweet with notes of honey, brown sugar, and citrus peel. On the palate sweetness prevails with the Panela’s flavor prominent along with orange zest and vanilla. The finish is smooth. Spearmint lingers nicely with a hint of more brown sugar.
Straight Bourbon Whiskey ($50)
Our Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey is distilled from a mash of Texas-grown Corn and Rye. Aged a minimum of 2 years in new Charred White Oak Barrels, this Bourbon is proofed to 88 (44% alcohol by volume) using Reverse Osmosis filtered water so that it sips nicely neat yet holds up on-the-rocks or in your favorite Whiskey cocktail. Our Bourbon is non-chill filtered ensuring the true bold flavor of this Texas Whiskey.
The nose is very sweet with notes of Crème Brûlée, caramel, and stone fruit. Charred oak is prevalent as well. The palate is delightfully smooth with notes of sweet black tea, cola, and cinnamon. The finish, while silky, has the peppery bite of Rye and a touch of menthol. Great served neat in a Glencairn or in a nice Old Fashioned complete with Luxardo Cherry.

T he legend goes, when Sam Maverick was selected by his peers to represent San Antonio de Bexar and rode under cover of darkness to Washington-on-the-Brazos; before leaving he left a jug of whiskey to be shared amongst his comrades, the heroes who died at the Alamo.
In that spirit, we invite you, our friends and comrades, to enjoy Maverick Whiskey in honor of Sam and in memory of the 187 who died fighting for the Republic of Texas at the Alamo. All Maverick Spirits will be handmade in San Antonio at our facility at 115 Broadway.
